Overtown Performing Arts Center (OPAC)
A Historic Venue for Exceptional Events in the Heart of Overtown
The Overtown Performing Arts Center (OPAC) is a versatile, 9,500-square-foot venue located in the historic Overtown district. Once home to the Ebenezer Methodist Church, the building combines rich history with modern amenities. With its Gothic Revival architecture and concert-quality lighting, sound, and video systems, OPAC offers an ideal setting for events ranging from banquets and corporate meetings to concerts and intimate performances.
The space accommodates up to 150 guests in theater-style seating and 110 for banquets or classrooms, offering flexibility for any event. The center also boasts an elevated stage, perfect for live performances, and a fully equipped culinary kitchen for event catering needs.
OPAC is proud to be a cultural hub in one of Miami’s earliest Black communities, once known as “Little Broadway” and home to vibrant Black-owned businesses. Restored in 1988 with city grants, it now serves as a center for special events, community pride, and cultural programming for all ages.
