The mission of Florida Film House

Founded in May of 2010, Florida Film House (FFH) began with a mission to tell impactful stories that educate and inspire the world. In 2017, we expanded our vision by establishing the non-profit division, Florida Film House International (FFH), with the goal of empowering underserved communities through the art of filmmaking. Our team is made up of passionate filmmakers who dedicate their time and skills to create narratives that amplify diverse voices and address important social issues.

From the beginning, founders Marco Molinet and Blademil have been committed to mentoring young talent, growing an in-house team of over 15 filmmakers who now possess a wide range of filmmaking skills. Our model is designed to reinvest capital generated from service-based filming into acquiring the resources needed to fund the development of original content. This vertically integrated business model ensures that FFH can continue offering high-quality film production services while nurturing the next generation of storytellers.

At Florida Film House, our mission is to empower and uplift underserved communities by providing opportunities for creative expression through filmmaking. We are dedicated to fostering the next generation of storytellers through educational film programs, hands-on training, and industry exposure. Our vision is to make film production accessible to all, creating a platform where diverse voices can share their stories with the world.

Community Impact

At Florida Film House, we believe in the transformative power of storytelling, particularly in underserved communities. Our mission is to provide a platform for emerging filmmakers to tell their stories while offering educational resources and industry exposure that empower the next generation of creators. By focusing on community-driven projects, we aim to inspire and equip youth with the skills needed to pursue careers in film and media, ultimately contributing to the cultural and economic growth of our local communities.

Through our 1st Take Youth Program, we offer youth ages 12-18 an introduction to filmmaking, providing hands-on experience in acting, writing, directing, filming, and editing. The program fosters creativity, teamwork, and technical skills, helping young people find their voices and gain the confidence to succeed in a creative industry. These youth-driven films are showcased on platforms like Tubi and YouTube, where they gain exposure to a global audience.

The Urban Film Festival (UFF) is another major initiative that highlights our commitment to empowering underserved filmmakers. This festival serves as a dynamic platform for diverse voices, celebrating urban stories and providing opportunities for exposure, education, and distribution. UFF features films that are not only locally produced but also distributed on platforms like Tubi and YouTube, allowing filmmakers to reach wide audiences and make a lasting impact.

Florida Film House also collaborates with local organizations, sponsors, and community leaders to host workshops and masterclasses designed to educate filmmakers on various aspects of the film industry, from production to distribution. Through these efforts, we are not only nurturing talent but also fostering a sense of community and belonging among young creators. Our initiatives support the growth of a more inclusive film industry, ensuring that all voices, regardless of background or socioeconomic status, have the opportunity to succeed and thrive.
